Let’s love people and enjoy all that there is in life – after all, we are all brothers and sisters and have this beautiful world around us. And while families may have their squabbles, when all is said and done, families do what is best for the family because deep down, they really do love each other.
When one of our brothers or sisters hurt – we hurt, and many can actually feel their pain. In many cases, we would want to take their pain upon ourselves to relieve some of their pain.
Being brothers and sisters gives us a common ancestry, we all are related because we are part of the human race – and we have been given this beautiful world to live in and care for.
So, if you can believe that we are in a sense brothers and sisters, then it makes sense to believe that we have a common lineage. My personal belief is that we have heavenly parents that care and love us and gave us this world – and like earthly parents when we suffer, they suffer the pain with us. Yes, they weep for us…
If we can somewhat believe that we are all related in some way, then we can believe that we have an older brother. And like any oldest, he would feel a responsibility for the young ones ( that’s us). I believe that the oldest brother is Jesus Christ. So being the oldest, he looks out for us, he is there for us, we just need to communicate with him and our Heavenly Parents that we need some help.
To get back to being brothers and sisters, we are all connected, whether you believe in God, Heavenly Parents, etc. make no difference. We are all connected just by the fact that we are part of this world. Being part of something means we have the duty and responsibility for that thing we are part of.
Our responsibility is to make sure that those brothers and sisters of ours that are hungry get food, that those that are lonely, are visited, and those that who need clothes and shelter are provided with it.
We are also responsible to dress this garden we have been entrusted with, in other words, we are caretakers of this world, this earth. I believe that God has given us this earth to care for and make beautiful, not to destroy and pollute it. God has given us all we need to accomplish that task. We should not waste what He has given to us.
So, think – What am I going to do today that will help someone or something that we are responsible for – How am I going to build bridges that will bring us closer together? How am I going to care for this garden earth?
